Is there a notation anyone knows of that people use for $T^\ast X \oplus T X$, where the $\oplus$ is Whitney-sum?

That looks like it - the notation people use, that is.

Maybe there's some notation people use when they get really sick of saying that - check out the literature on Dirac manifolds, I guess.
