I've written a monad theory blog post describing various perspectives on pseudomonads. Normally I don't advertise my monad theory posts on here for fear of spamming. In this case the post emerged from background reading relating to some current work, so I'm pushing the limits of my comfort zone, and would gladly welcome feedback from the experts here if my intuitions are off or missing anything important, (or I'm saying anything just plain wrong!).

Oh you've restarted to blog. I was subscribed to it, but it looks like I stopped receiving updates. I see that the topic #community: blog feeds > stringdiagram.com (Dan Marsden) also stopped working (well it worked only once).
Yes, I had a period of writers block, but recent work suggested some ideas to breath new life into things.
@Dan Marsden: regarding the closing question in your recent blog post, regarding the relationship between distributive laws and tensor products of enriched categories, see 2-dimensional bifunctor theorems and distributive laws (particularly the antepenultimate paragraph of the paper).
I don't know whether this idea has since been explored in any detail for enriched categories (I suspect not).
@Nathanael Arkor Thanks for the reference, I was not aware of that paper.
