Has anyone looked at Stein's method (a method for bounding the distance between two probability distributions) with a categorical eye? I ask in part because I was skimming Stein's monograph _Approximate Computation of Expectations_ and, interestingly, he uses are commutative diagrams and some of the language has a categorical flavor.
