At planting.space we are building an AI system that can accurately represent knowledge and handle uncertainty, to enable the discovery of insights and solve problems based on explainable reasoning.

We are currently hiring for a Knowledge Representation Category Theorist to help us research category theoretic representations of real world phenomena to inspire our development.

Required Experience

• PhD (or post-doc position) which involved category theory
• Programming in some functional or strongly typed programming language
• Writing about category theory in accessible ways
• Theory building in computer science, statistics or applied mathematics

Responsibilities

• Follow existing literature and bring up relevant ideas
• Understand and formalise structures encoded by our system
• Develop new theories for real world phenomena along our framework
• Present results of your work in a way accessible to experts in other fields
