Hello all! This is the thread of discussion for the ACT Community Values Meeting.
Date and time: Thursday July 9, 16:00 UTC.
Zoom meeting: https://mit.zoom.us/j/7055345747
There is no live stream, nor recording!
I unfortunately will be on a train for the duration of this meeting tomorrow. Since this post is formatted like all of the others, I presume this will also be recorded and available after the discussion is over?
I've been listening to a lot of the planning of this session, and I haven't heard anyone say it won't be recorded. That's all I can say.
20 minutes!

Oh... :oh_no: I take it there wasn't much discussion afterwards beyond a continuation of the BAE thread over on #general: values ?
And is any of the contents even going to be reported anywhere? Because if not, the point being made over there about the benefit to BAE of being included in the conference being balanced by the public spotlight on their contributions to ongoing war crimes is rather nullified...
There's some discussion in the #general: values channel, and Steve Huntsman is in that thread - I think that's all we have for now.

There was about an hour of discussion of many things; the BAE business played a rather small part.
It makes a lot of sense to not record such discussions, because some of the the issues are very sensitive, so if people feel their remarks will be permanently available to the whole world on YouTube, many will become reluctant to say anything except noncontroversial platitudes.
Understandable. I'll just have to pick a different train time next time!
