Is there any latest development about point-free geometry of Whitehead? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitehead%27s_point-free_geometry
What kind of stability notion is used here if we're talking about spacetime if not the curvature?
Is there any category-theoretic implication of Whitehead's method of extension?
Mereology is studied by logicians; there was a talk on it at the last TACL conference. I'm not aware of ongoing serious attempts to use this as a foundation for geometry in physics (such as attempting to define curvature in this context), but the person who gave that talk might be able to answer your questions.
