Topic: confusion between notation for set and category of functors

Given two categories $\mathcal B$ and $\mathcal C$, we can ask for the set of functors from the one to the other, or for the category of functors from the one to the other and natural transformations between them. I am confused between multiple notations I think I saw in literature one or another time. Is there a standard or preferred notation in current discourse?

In general, it’s not agreed upon. We can list the possibilities, but mostly you just have to read closely in each paper.
