The 2023 Octoberfest is happening on October 28/29. The organizers asked for the following announcement to be distributed, because of the failure of the CT list:
The 2023 Category Theory Octoberfest will be held on the weekend of October 28th through October 29th. The meeting will be virtual. Following the tradition of past Octoberfests, this is intended to be an informal meeting, covering all areas of category theory and its applications. Here is the official conference website:
https://richardblute.ca/octoberfest-2023/
At the moment, you'll find there the schedule with all speakers and titles, as well as the zoom link which will be the same for both days. The abstracts for all the talks will be available shortly.
For further questions, feel free to contact me. Hope to see you there.
cheers
Rick Blute
If you're in touch with Richard, could you ask him to specify the time zone of the events? All I can readily identify is that he has a Canada top-level domain, so that north american eastern time is statistically most likely.
I wrote him an email
It’s in Ottawa
Sorry, I wrote it a bit before you sent your email but my message didn't appear because of bad internet connection. So I wrote it again a bit later but it was too late
I think he's going to confirm :)
Yes I also think it's Ottawa time zone. But that information should be on the website!
I don't know if he answered you but he updated the website by adding the timezone
Knowing a bit Rick Blute, it would not suprise me that he only updated the website and didn't consider that doing anything more is useful
