Dear colleagues,

The next International Category Theory Conference - CT2023 - will take place at the Universite catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). The conference will start on Sunday, July 2 (with a welcome reception) and will end on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

We are pleased to let you know that the following Invited Speakers have accepted to give a 50-minute plenary lecture:

George Janelidze (University of Cape Town)
Steve Lack (Macquarie University)
Vanessa Miemietz (University of East Anglia)
Paolo Perrone (University of Oxford)
Luca Reggio (University College London)
Christina Vasilakopoulou (National Technical University of Athens)

I am cursed to never attend CT:

• in 2017, I had my thesis submission deadline in the days of CT;
• in 2018, CT happened in the same days as the federated logic conference in which I had 2 papers to present;
• in 2019, my child was born 3 days before the start of CT;
• in 2021, I attended for one day and then had to leave due to a family medical emergency;
• in 2020 and 2022, there was no CT;
• this year I have been invited to GETCO which is in the exact same days (I don't get lots of talk invitations)

Does anyone know any sorceries that can lift the curse?

You can now apply to give a talk at CT2023! The deadline for submissions is March 31st.

By my count, there are 6 invited talks, 23 plenary talks, 32 talks in parallel sessions, and 28 poster presentations. In other words, lots of interesting category theory!
