Is there a reference in the literature that discusses a model category structure on DblGpd that is Quillen equivalent to one on 2Gpd (i.e. the one that presents the higher category of homotopy 2-types)? In principle, one could ask for something like an equivalence of (3,1)-categories or similar, but it's not clear how one would define this for DblGpd.
