Matteo Capucci (he/him) (Mar 28 2025 at 14:28):I only recently stumbled upon this great reconstruction of the story of the Yoneda lemma, and the author narrows down the date of the conception (or rather, the popularization) of Yoneda's lemma to 'mid-August 1954'... which means we just about missed the 70° anniversary of Yoneda lemma!

I think this is misleading: Mac Lane learnt about the Yoneda lemma at this time, but Yoneda had surely known it for much longer.
